NotesBiographical Note: Rubén Ruiz was a Puerto Rican cuatro player based in Hartford. He was interviewed by CCHAP in 2001 as part of fieldwork to locate Puerto Rican artists in Connecticut. Ruben’s daughter, Yedalis, worked at the Institute for Community Research where CCHAP was based, and introduced her father. CCHAP intern Ramón Bonilla also participated in interviewing Mr. Ruiz.
