DescriptionDrawing, mourning scene. There is a large willow tree on the left, and two memorials with stone urns on top of them, one for Ebenezer Punderson (1735-1809) and one for Prudence Punderson (1735-1822). There is a woman wearing a black veil standing at the memorial to Ebenezer. There is an upside-down angel holding an olive branch in the sky on the right. Above it is a banner that reads, "There is rest For the Good in Heaven." In the background on the left is a church with a small graveyard next to it.

The drawing is in a back-painted glass frame with Hannah Punderson's name at the bottom, misspelled: "Hannah Punperson."
Object number1964.40.1
NotesDate note: The drawing was finished after Hannah Punderson's death (1821), as the inscription for Prudence Punderson includes her date of death (1822), which was after Hannah's.
