DescriptionSampler, done in cross stitch in shades of dark brown, brown, and tan embroidery floss on a tan background by Harriet Abbot (1815-1887) at age 11 in 1826. The sampler has four complete alphabets in various cases and fonts followed by a prayer. "May I be kept in virtues path / By Gods Almighty hand / Be owned and blest of him at last / And reach the pomist land"
