InscribedPrinted in black on front: "Kviečiame pasiklausyti 'Tėvynės Garsų' radijo/ laidos, kurios tikslas yra išlaikyti lietuvišką žodį,/ muziką, papročius, pateiki vietines ir iš/ Lietuvos žinias" [Translation: We invite you to listen to the Radio of the Homeland Sounds, the purpose of which is to preserve the Lithuanian literary music, present local and Lithuanian news.]NotesSubject Note: Since 1991, the Lithuanian Radio Hour - Tevynes Garsai - Sounds of The Homeland - has run on station WWUH, 91.3 Sundays from 5-6 PM. Started by a group of Greater Hartford Lithuanians in the late 1940s, the show has run continuously on various stations and with various announcers since 1957. The Dzikas family were the original announcers on WWUH, followed by other Lithuanian cultural leaders, and in 2021 Alex Dzikas is the announcer. The 50th anniversary was celebrated with a gathering at the University of Hartford which operates WWUH. The show broadcasts Lithuanian music and news, and is incorporated as a non-profit organization.Additional materials exist in the CCHAP archive for this community.
