NotesSubject Note: This event was held by members of the growing Brazilian community, organized by cultural activist Esther Sanchez-Naek who at the time was developing a Brazilian Cultural Center on Park St. in Hartford for which she received a grant from the New Alliance Foundation. Several artists performing at the event have been recorded by CCHAP: Capoeira master Efraim Silva, singer Jose Paulo, and the Hartford area Portuguese dance group, Rancho Folclorico do Clube Portugues de Hartford.Additional audio, video, and/or photographic materials exist in the archive relating to these artists.
