MarkingsStamped or painted in black across the top, front, and back: "M. WEJGENSZPERG/ AKRON, OHIO/USA"NotesThe Wejgenszperg family sailed from Bremerhaven, Germany to New York on the USNS General W. C. Langfitt. Their original destination was Akron, Ohio, as they had a sponsor (Charles E. Schwartz) in Akron. Once they arrived in New York, the family was re-routed to Hartford, Connecticut, and the family decided to stay in Connecticut.

They only carried the two wicker crates with them as they immigrated to the United States.

The family changed their names in 1963:
Mieczyslaw Wejgenszperg changed his name to Martin Weigen
Margareta Wejgenszperg changed her name to Margareta Weigen
Sonia Barbara Wejgenszperg changed her name to Barbara Weigen.
