DescriptionDress (.a): Woman's black rayon fitted dress with jacket and belt. The dress bodice has a wide jewel neckline finished with a 1 3/8-inch-wide bias band with a center front bow. The short sleeves are very plain. The bodice is fitted with double front darts stitched from the waistline seam on both the front and back. A zipper is located in the proper left side seam. The sheath style skirt is ornamented in front with three 1 3/8-inch-wide horizontal tucks, into which are sewn, one on each side front, an inverted V-shape indentation. This area of the skirt is lined. The back of the skirt is constructed of two side panels and one center panel with no horizontal tucks. A small pleat, 10 1/2 inches long, is sewn into each side seam. Thread belt loops. There is hem tape on the dress and both sets of sleeves. There are non-stuffed shoulder pads.
Jacket (.b): The jacket has a narrow jewel neckline, princess seams, and a repetition of the skirt ornamentation, with two horizontal tucks along the bottom of the square-shaped front with corresponding inverted V-shaped indentations. Three-quarter-length sleeves are fitted with two darts at each elbow. The jacket is lined in front and faced along back-taped hem.
Belt (.c): The belt is a fabric covered slide belt with a rectangular buckle.
