DescriptionButtonholer attachment for a sewing machine made by Greist Manufacturing Company of New Haven, Connecticut. Metal working parts covered by a light blue plastic casing. The "Greist" name is printed in white lettering on top of the case. A black knob on top of the case allows for adjustments, and a small metal handle on the right side allows you to change settings. The settings are marked in white on the casing. The working parts extend beyond the end of the casing at one end, including a moveable metal piece with ruled markings. The buttonholer comes with four oval shaped metal attachments, allowing for different sized button holes. The backs of the attachments are inscribed with a measurement: two of them are "5/8" and the other two are "1 1/16". The inside of the attachments each have different sized grooves to correspond to the kind of hole they will make. A small white metal screw comes with the attachments to secure them to the buttonholer. A blue paper user's manual with "Greist / BUTTONHOLER" written on the cover is also included. It has labeled tabs for easy reference to the illustrated instructions. The bottom of the original box is white paper, and it includes slots for each piece. The top of the box is blue and green paper with "Greist AUTOMATIC BUTTONHOLER" written on top. Writing on the side of the box includes the model number and company slogan.
