DescriptionOfficial United States Navy uniform overcoat; worn with winter blues by Matthew Woods.

The overcoat is constructed of dark blue 100% Melton wool and features a black synthetic satin lining; it has a notched lapel collar, long sleeves, and extends to mid-calf length. The is overcoat is double-breasted with five 40-line Navy eagle, gilt buttons down each forefront. There is a sword slit over the proper left hip and a vertical slash side pocket on both the proper right and left front sides seams, and a proper right interior breast pocket. The collar is made so that the coat may be buttoned to the neck, and there is a chain at the interior center back for hanging. There are two loops on each shoulder for hard shoulder boards.

A label at the interior center back reads, “The United States Naval Academy Thorngate Uniform Inc. Norristown, PA”. A label at the interior proper right breast reads, “Tailored for The United States Naval Academy by Thorngate Uniform Inc. Dry Clean Only”. A small tag extending from the label reads, “Crafted with pride in USA”.
