DescriptionGirl's dress of white cotton printed with widely spaced, small red squares and closely spaced pale olive dots. The dress has a wide, round neckline with a 3 3/4-inch-deep ruffle of white cotton embroidered with white branches and red berries; the scalloped edge is finished with red buttonhole stitching. The bodice is gathered into the neckline edge and into the 1 1/8-inch-wide waistband, which is embroidered along each edge with red featherstitching. The short sleeves consist of ruffles matching the neckline ruffle. The skirt is closely gathered into the waistband. The hem is 4 3/4 inches deep, and it is stitched with red featherstitching. The center back opening extends ten inches and fastens with a mother of pearl button at the neckline and waistline (the button at the waistline is missing).
