DescriptionGirl's dress of pink silk, originally one-piece, but altered to a two-piece dress consisting of a bodice and skirt. The bodice is plain, with a slightly wide, round neckline. The two-piece sleeves are three-quarter-length. The center back opening fastens with seven self-covered buttons. The bodice front is fitted with four five-inch-long darts. The curved side back seams of the bodice back are top-stitched with a close machine-stitch. The bodice is lined with plain linen.
The skirt is smooth in front, knife-pleated over the hips, and cartridge-pleated across the back. Five rows of scalloped, self-fabric ruffles border the bottom. The center back opening extends five inches and fastens with hooks and eyes at the 1 1/4-inch-wide waistband. The skirt is lined with plain linen. There is an in-seam pocket on the right side. The skirt ruffles are stitched with machine-chain stitch.
