DescriptionPlans for the basement and first floor of St. Peter's School, 160 Main Street, Hartford, include classrooms, coatrooms, stairs, exits, toilets, a kitchen, a locker room, storage rooms, and rooms for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. The plan for the layout of carnival booths on the school plaza includes booths, bingo tables, a fence, a flagpole, an elm tree, a driveway, and sidewalks, and indicates the locations of the church and school.

NotesHistorical Notes: John J. McMahon executed on the architecural plans for the school renovations of St. Peter's School at 160 Main Street in Hartford, Connecticut, on 27 September 1945; the plan for the carnival booths on the school plaza was executed sometime prior to 4 June 1946.
The drawings were enclosed in a wrapper labeled "FIRE DEPT. PLANS" and may have been executed to illustrate compliance with fire safety codes. (Finlay 5/30/2003)
