DescriptionA doll's dress that was used as a teaching aid in a sewing course taught by Caroline Huntington in Hartford Public Schools, 1899-1908. The dress is a cream fabric with a fleur-de-lis and dot pattern in blue. The dress collar is a triangle shape and the edges are lined with a blue embroidered line. The sleeve cuffs are lined with the same blue embroidered line. The dress is ruched at the waist. Four mother-of-pearl buttons down the back for closure.
