DescriptionWhite suede leather, closed-tab, front-lacing shoes. The toes are a narrow oval shape, and the knock-on heels are a Louis shape. The shoes are closed with a white plaited silk tape with metal tips, laced through seven pairs of metal eyelets. This lacing is backed with a leather tongue that is attached to one side at the top. The quarters are lined with white leather, and the vamp is lined with white twill-woven cotton. The sock lining is white leather. The soles are shaped for the right and left foot.

NotesHistorical Notes: Family history states that Lucy Fiddis Griffith (1878-1965) married Charles Johnson Clark on 30 November 1892 in Owego, New York, but other records indicate a date of 1895.
