DescriptionDrawing of the head and neck of a woman with hair parted in the middle, wearing glasses and a high collar. Eunice Goodwin Batterson was the wife of James G. Batterson of Hartford, Conn., who was owner of the New England Granite Works and founder of Travelers Insurance Co. Walter Griffin, the artist, had a studio in Hartford in 1897 before joining the art colony in Old Lyme. In a simple gold frame with no mat.
