“Edgar J. Doolittle was mayor of Meriden for five terms and a representative in the State Senate. He was born in Hebron, Conn., on January 29, 1845.
He was vice president and trustee of the Meriden Savings Bank; director of the Meriden Gas and Electric Light company; vice president and director of the Home National Bank; trustee of the Meriden Hospital; and appointed to be a member of the Connecticut Commission to the St. Louis World’s Fair Exposition.”
