NotesThe Vulcan Iron Works in New Britain, Conn., was established in 1878. It grew from one foundry to three within a forty-year span. It was absorbed by the Eastern Malleable Co. of Naugatuck, Conn. The Vulcan Iron Works manufactured malleable iron castings.
