“Charles Lee Rockwell was born in Ridgefield, Conn. He was the president of First National Bank and the City Savings Bank of Meriden. He came to Meriden in 1870.

He was one of the organizers of the Meriden Trust & Safe Deposit Company. He was one of the organizers and directors of the First National Bank in Ridgefield, Conn. He was president of the Miller Brothers Cutlery Company, a director of the Meriden Cutlery Company, and one of the organizers and directors of the Meriden Horse Railroad Company.”
