DescriptionTwo images relating to corn husking. In the upper image, two boys ride on top of a wagon loaded with corn and drawn by two oxen. The oxen are driven by a man with a goad. A young man and two young women walk beside the wagon. The man carries a sickle; all three carry corn stalks. A dog sniffs a tree stump in the foreground. In the background, a second wagon is in a field of corn, almost hidden by the cornstalks. In the lower image, Men and women dance in the interior of a room while a man in the right background plays the fiddle. An elderly couple and a young girl stand beside a fireplace on the left. Two rifles and a powder horn hang above the fireplace. Two candles in candlesticks and a picture are on the mantel. Two hams hang from the rafters overhead. In the right foreground, is a large wooden barrel with a spigot in it. Cups or glasses are on a table nearby. A copy of Harper's Weekly lies on another table in the left foreground.
