DescriptionA small gothic revival church is surrounded by scaffolding and appears to be under construction. The building has a square tower and one-story wing attached. Ladders lean against the roof of both the church and this smaller building. Lumber and other building materials are piled on the ground. A sign reads "Allyn Wadhams / Builders." Frame houses, other buildings, and what appears to be a garden plot are in the background. An automobile is at the left. Snow is on the ground.

In late 1929 the firm was engaged in constructing the Broadview Community Church at the corner of Roger and Oliver Streets in Hartford. However, descriptions of that church do appear to match the building in this photograph.
