DescriptionFrame houses painted in contrasting colors line a dirt street that appears to be under construction. Houses have louvered shutters, drain pipes, and porches. The house in the left foreground has a stone foundation. The bank at the left appears to have been newly excavated. A piece of lumber is beside the bank. An additional stake is in the road. Horse-drawn wagons are in the right background.
