DescriptionCream-colored silk satin slippers, with flat soles and rounded square toes. The throatline is square and the vamp is decorated with a large rosette of similarly-colored silk ribbon that has been folded into individual "petals," and arranged so that they resemble a chrysanthemum. A cut steel ornament is attached at the center of each rosette. The slippers have no center back seam, just two side seams. The uppers are lined with white leather in the quarters and twill-woven white cotton in the vamp. The sock linings are also twill-woven cotton. The throatline is bound with silk tape, and a narrow tape loop is stitched to either side.
