A telephone directory with a cover that reads: "Bridgeport / District / Telephone / Director hangs nearby. An electric desk lamp is on a second filing cabinet at the right. Framed certificates, framed broadsides and a calendar are on the wall. Some of these read: "Independence Fire / Insurance Company" "The /Columbia / Fire / Insurance Company / of Dayton, Ohio" "Home Fire and Marine Insurance Company / of California..." "Sun Insurance Office" "Gulf Refining / Company / High Grade / Petroleum Products / Pittsburgh." The calendar is dated November 1927. The windows have window shades. A third desk in the left foreground has an ashtray on it. Electric light fixtures are on the ceiling and wall.
