DescriptionFour story brick hotel building with porches on the second and third floors. The roof is supported by brackets and has a cupola and two chimneys on it. A wooden exterior staircase leads to the second floor. Men and women stand on the porches. A woman on the third floor holds a bucket and a broom. A sign at the left reads "River House / 76 / Bar Room." A sign on the lower level reads: "Hartford Canoe Club." The Connecticut River is at the right but not visible.
