DescriptionThe central part of the facade of the Connecticut State Armory is enclosed in scaffolding. The peak of the gable roof appears to be incomplete. The building is constructed of rough granite masonry with a projecting central block connected to end pavilions by recessed wings. Construction equipment and materials, including cranes, lumber, and barrels, surrounds the building. The Park River is in the immediate foreground in front of a high stone retaining wall.

NotesSubject Note: The Connecticut State Armory was erected in 1909 to the designs of Benjamin Wistar Morris III. Morris, a New York architect, was married to the daughter of the Rev. Francis Goodwin of Hartford.
