InscribedOn verso: "In Clinton, Conn. ('Old Kenilworth') - in Indian River Cemetery - taken summer of 1926 by E.G. Smith [Edna G. Smith] / Probably Mary Griswold, wife of Edward Griswold - one of the founders of Kenilworth. Inscription was doubtless recut a few years ago [before 1926] under direction of John O. Stanton, one of the donors of the old 'Stanton House' as a museum."
