DescriptionFamily in front of one and half story clapboard Cape style house with double entry door. Small brick center chimney. Man in vest and [sweater?] and woman in check dress and apron stand in front of picket fence with gate. Picket and stockade fence on left side of yard enclosing garden on left; stone fence with split rail in foreground. Telegraph pole on left. Behind house are two vertical sided barns and possibly a fruit tree. On left side of house is an arbor with [grape?] vines.

Subject Note: According to a Cheshire town history, the "Joel Moss House" c. 1795, 859 Moss Farms Rd-Cheshire, is "sometimes known as the Lambert Russell House." The Russells lived there from 1860-1902.
