DescriptionBoys, most of the wearing suits, some of them wearing knickers, sit at tilt-top desks in a classroom. They are reading and several books are piled on each desk. The boy in the left foreground wears eyeglasses. The room has a cove ceiling, dentil moldings and wood paneling on the back wall. Chandeliers hold electric lights and candles.
