DescriptionTwo girls sit on the ground holding hats. A young man and a boy sit on a box with a dog. A woman in a white dress stands between them. Behind a picket fence are three additional women, one of them holding a book. In the background is a Greek revival house with an entablature over the front door and an addition at the side with a porch supported by scroll-sawn brackets. The large trees in the yard appear to be maples.
