NotesConstituent Note: Some photographs in this collection bear the imprint of the Northern Survey Company.Subject Note: The name "Samuel Clemons" is inscribed on the back of the mount. It is possible that the name is misspelled or incorrect. The 1870 Census lists a Samuel A. Clemons working as a farm laborer in Killingly, Connecticut. No one else by that name living in Windham County appears in the census records for the 1870s or 1880s.
