DescriptionA small girl is seated on the back of a large dog at the foot of a large stone, vine-covered, exterior staircase. The girl wears a broad-brimmed straw hat with a ribbon, a dress trimmed with lace, and high buttoned shoes. A smaller black dog sits on its haunches at the right. Both dogs wear collars and are gazing at something to eat, which the girl holds in her hands. A bushy plant is in the right foreground. A grassy lawn, trees, and a mountain slope are in the background.
