DescriptionThe Hartford skyline is seen from across the Connecticut River. Travelers tower, the steeple of the First Congregational Church, the cupola of the Old State House, and the buildings of Constitution Plaza are visible. Signs on the buildings at the right read: "HOTEL / SONESTA [?]" "G. FOX & CO." A crane and scaffolding are at the far left, where a building is under construction. Highway signs are near the Old State House. The dike constructed for flood control runs along the river. The trees in the foreground are on the East Hartford shore.
