DescriptionA monkey sits on a large basket picking fleas off the stomach of a tabby cat, which lies on its back with its paws in the air. A hat or bag with a tassel protrudes from a barrel in the right background. A jar and a knife lie on a wooden stool in the left background. Steam or smoke appears to issue from a doorway. The floor is paved with large square blocks of stone.
