DescriptionView of a dark horse hitched to a covered buggy standing in front of the Horace Bushnell Cheney house at 78 Forest Street in Manchester, Connecticut. The house is at least two stories tall and has a large covered porch. There is a man in the front seat of the buggy, holding the reigns. A boy and a girl sit next to him, to the right. They are probably Horace Bushnell Cheney with his son Horace Bushnell, Jr. and daughter Antoinette Phelps Cheney. In the back seat there is a woman and a young child, probably Mary Pierson Cheney and son Stephen Pierson Cheney. There is another small child standing in the foreground, halfway off camera, on the right.
