Pierson was born in Novmeber 1841. He attended Yale University and spent most of his life in Meriden, Connecticut, where he was active as a civil engineer. He was the father of Mary Pierson, who married Horace B. Cheney of Manchester. Stephen C. Pierson died suddenly in 1918, while surveying property near the city line of Meriden..(Finlay 1/29/2014)
