DescriptionA large group consisting of men, women, and a young girl are seated on the stage of a theater. The prescenium arch is elaborately painted and has an coat of arms featured at its center. There is a painted scene with trees and villa-like buildings behind the group of people. Seated at the far right and far left in the front row are actors who appear to be in blackface.

Written at bottom center is "Taylor-Atkins Mischief Makers / and / Royal Arcanum Minstrel Boys".NotesSubject Note: Taylor-Atkins was a paper manufacturing company, and this event was held under the auspices of its employees. The Taylor-Atkins Mischief Makers were most likely employees of the company. The event was held at Comstock Hall in East Hartford on March 2nd, 1916. Ector F. Marceau of the Taylor-Atkins force and Frank W. Arnold of the Royal Arcanum were in charge of the entertainment. (Agins 8/13/2013)
