DescriptionShoes with a vamp made of cream-colored silk with a woven pattern of dots, and quarters made of similarly colored satin. The slightly pointed oval toe is embroidered with metallic sequins, now darkened, but originally a golden color. The shoes have a slender Louis heel, with a continuous leather sole extending down the front of the heel. The tongue is pointed, and the latchets crossing the instep would have been held by a buckle. The silk is lined with plain-woven linen, and is bound with silk tape. The shoes are straight.
