A small barefoot boy in a white nightgown kneels in front of her. His hands are clasped in prayer. His shoes or slippers are nearby on the patterned carpet. A wicker cradle is at the left. Drapery is in the left background. A framed oil painting of a landscape is on the wall in the right background.
