DescriptionPhotograph of a drawing of a design from a Bench Vise. Inscribed in image, lower right, "ASSEMBLY / BENCH VISE / D.F. ARMSTRONG / MARCH 25, 1916 / 1011."
Object number1995.36.1626
NotesSubject Note: David F. Armstrong (1883-1960) lived in Groton, Connecticut. He is listed as a draftsman in the 1920 Federal Census. He filed a patent for an "Automobile Protector" which appears in 1995.36.1624 and 1995.36.1625 in 1906. It seems likely that he and his wife Helen and his daughter Muriel may be the family that appear in so many of William G. Dudley's photographs..(Finlay 11/16/2013)Subject Terms
