NotesSubject Note: The parts appear to be the same as those in 1995.36.1503 where an inscription associates them with The Sponsel Company of Hartford. The Sponsel Company of Hartford was organized in 1917. The founder of the company, Charles W. Sponsel, was formerly superintendant at the Capewell Horse Nail Company. Sponsel was also the designer of the Sponsel rapid-fire gun. The company had offices at 647 Main Street, Hartford. The business is described as "inventions."
