DescriptionA three-story Georgian-style brick house is surrounded by grassy lawns. The house features a portico with columns, a large porch, chimneys and dormers which extend from the roof line. Large trellises at either side of the entrance appear to have young bushes planted at their bases. A brick wall at the left probably surrounds a courtyard or garden. The house is partially obscured by large trees, at least one of which appears to be an elm.
Object number1995.36.1379
NotesSubject Note: The house was built in 1907 for Robert Schutz, the president of Smyth Manufacturing Company; the architect was Charles Adams Platt. The same house is pictured in 1995.36.1377 and 1995.36.1381. (Agins 8/29/2013)
