DescriptionPainted fireboard with a still life of a vase filled with flowers in a box or fireplace. The vase is white with two spouts in the front and a scalloped base. To the left of the vase is pictured a white clay pipe with the stem leaning against the left wall of the box. Surrounding the still life along the sides and the top are sixteen individual drawings of people, animals, landscapes, and buildings that appear to tell a story. Some text is visible in some of the drawings but not all is legible. Each of the drawings is surrounded by a circle. The various scenes are painted white on a beige background.
The wood panels are attached to one another with two backing pieces and are then attached to a molded shelf or baseboard. This shelf is used to balance the board as it would be placed in front of a fireplace.
