Tennant was from Hartford and enlisted on August 1, 1862. On August 24, 1862 he was mustered in to the Sixteenth Regiment Infantry Company A as a Second Lieutenant. On Septemter 17, 1862 he was promoted to Captain in Company D. On May 3, 1863 he was wounded at the Battle of Providence Church Road, in Virginia. He died on May 24, 1863. (Ruocco, 04/14/12)On View
