Baldwin was from Middlebury Connecticut and enlisted on July 28, 1862. On August 23, 1862 he was mustered into the Fourteenth Regiment Infantry, Company I as a Corporal. He was promoted to Sergeant on February 11, 1863. He was wounded t the Battle of Gettysburg on July 3, 1863. He died on August 14, 1863. (Ruocco, 04/14/12)
