Tennant of Hartford was mustered in as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Sixteenth Connecticut Volunteer Infantry on August 24 1862. He was promoted to Captain on September 17 1862. He was wounded May 3 1863 at Providence Church Road, Viriginia and died May 24 1863. (Finlay 4/13/2012)
