The other copy of this print, 2011.344.1025, was titled ""Thorndale" by Chester." The "Chester" referred to in the title and inscription on the print is probably Chester Thorne (1863-1927). He was a business leader who helped develop the Port of Tacoma. The son of Edwin Thorne, he was Jonathan and Samuel Thorne's nephew. There is no evidence that he was a photographer.
