DescriptionSmall purse of dark brown or black velveteen worked with glass beads in a multi-colored, stylized floral design. The beads are stitched over paper templates to add sparkle (otherwise the beads would appear dull against the dark velvet.) The flowers are solidly worked and are not outlined. The bag is bound with red cotton, set on the straight grain. This is edged with a row of red beads. Blue, yellow, and green beads are stitched in loops around the outer edge. The top of the purse is finished with green silk. It is lined with glazed and embossed pink cotton and interlined with leather.
