NotesHistorical Note: Augustus G. Hazard organized Hazard Powder Company in 1843 for the production of gunpowder. Hazardville is a community in Enfield and was named after Augustus Hazard himself, versus the nature of its primary product. (cthistoryonline.org 6/29/2009)
