DescriptionStudio and amateur photographs of Alexander Tatro and an unknown young man, who is possibly a relative to Alexander. In some of the photographs, the two males are seated next to each other on a bench or in an automobile. In others, Alexander is by himself and is wearing a suit jacket, a bowtie, a hat, or a uniform. The unknown young man is seen wearing a suit jacket, a tie, a hat, and a vest. There is one group photograph which has Alexander Tatro, the unknown young man, Meta Heinze Tatro, Amy Tatro, and several other unidentified men, women, and children.

On the tintype, the accession number is written in the lower right corner with red acrylic paint.NotesMany of the photos are of Alexander Tatro and Meta Heinze Tatro. Alexander Tatro was born in Canada in 1868 and immigrated to the United States in 1870. Meta Heinze was born in Sweden in 1871and moved to the United States in 1880. She came with her sister and they worked as maids for wealthy families around Hartford such as the Ponds. The Ponds House in Elizabeth Park is named after them.
