DescriptionBow or bow tie, possibly part of a costume, made of emerald green plain-woven silk, hand-stitched with tan colored thread. The bow was made by first folding a piece of the green silk so that the folded ends would meet at center back. There is a hem on the top and bottom edge of that piece, stitched with the tan thread. A second piece of green silk was folded over itself several times to create ridges. That piece was then wrapped vertically around the center of the first piece of silk, and stitched down with tan thread.
